Gree Electric Appliances, based in Zhuhai, China, is a large manufacturer focused on air conditioning, and its splits are among the most widely retailed ACs in Bangladesh. Real consumption depends on capacity, inverter behaviour, thermostat setting, room insulation, outdoor heat and running hours — the nameplate never tells the whole story. An inverter running steadily at 26°C in a sealed room draws far less than its rated input; the same unit at 18°C in a leaky room runs near full load all evening.
