This directory organises air conditioner prices in Bangladesh by capacity and type. Use it together with the homepage price table: filter to your room size first, then compare inverter vs non-inverter models within that size.
Split systems (wall-mounted indoor unit plus outdoor unit) are the default for Bangladeshi homes. They cost more to install than window units but run quieter indoors and suit bedrooms and living rooms.
Window units combine everything in one box fitted through a wall or window opening. They suit single rooms where a split installation is impractical, but check noise levels and window framing before buying.
2.5 ton units suit large open-plan rooms and small commercial spaces. Measure carefully — oversized units cycle inefficiently in smaller rooms.
3 ton and above is typically commercial territory (shops, restaurants, offices), often using cassette or ducted formats. Get a technician site survey before shortlisting.
Portable units move between rooms but need a window exhaust duct and floor drainage. They suit rented flats where permanent installation is not allowed, though cooling per watt is generally lower than splits.
